I am 74years old and this was my first experience of being a patient in hospital. From the moment I entered the Park Hospital everyone was courteous and professional, Needless to say I was very nervous and apprehensive of the whole procedure that was to follow. I had a consultation with Mr Dutta regarding an Umbilical hernia and my fears were allayed Mr Dutta was informative and obviously a very experienced surgeon also a very warm and friendly person.. The day of the procedure arrived and my care was exceptional .Everything went to plan. A big thank you to all concerned. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Dutta, his colleagues and The Park Hospital. Hopefully I will not need any further hospital however if this is the case then The Park and Mr Dutta would be my 1st choice.

I had an initial interview and examination with Mr Sam Dutta. During this examination he told me that I had two inguinal hernias and explained that the operation would be by keyhole surgery under general anaesthetic, and completed and discharged the same day. All aftercare information was given with written information for my stay. He was very kind and thoughtful and put me at complete ease. All the staff on the day of the operation also put me at ease and were very professional. The anaesthetist took time to talk to me before the operation and was also very caring. The nurses cannot be faulted, they checked on me before and after, very frequently. I cannot recommend Mr Dutta enough - he is friendly, caring, professional and will answer all the questions you may have about the procedure. Six weeks after the operation Mr Dutta examined me and all was OK. He showed me photographs of the inside of my abdomen taken during the operation. Much to my relief all successful - and to Mr Dutta, the anaesthetist, nurses and staff of the Park Hospital a big THANK YOU - you are the best. Thank you Mr Dutta for sorting me out!

This surgeon saved my life and I was in absolute agony for 2 years Sam Dutta took away my gol bladder fixed 2 hernias sorted my bowle all key hole when he got in there was scar tissue from previous operation around my bowle and he sorted everything without damaging my bowle x His fantastic x

What an exceptional individual. A skillful surgeon and very talented professional. Mr Dutta was a pleasure to meet and treated my 92 year old father with absolute care, compassion and a brilliant result. He is a credit to his profession. Highly recommend to anyone.

During my 80 years so far, I have had the privilege of meeting a few exceptional people and one of these is surgeon Mr S Dutta who is a top man and a top surgeon. Having undergone a Ventral Hernia repair which was skillfully carried out 6 weeks ago by Surgeon Sam I would have no hesitation recommending him to anyone who requires surgery. Jeff Rook 27/09/2023.
